After two days of play, we met the winner of the Penati Slovak Open Championship 2020 at the Penati Golf Resort, on the Legend course. The highest win in the short history of the event so far, 10.000 Euros were won by Ondřej Lieser from the Czech Republic, who finished second last year, after a memorable play off with Rory Sabbatini.
He won the victory with 71 and 67 shots, a total of -8 / 138 shots. Excellent golf was also performed by two amateur players, who finished in a split second place, together with two professionals. With the same performance -4 they were amateurs Filip Ráža (Czech Republic, international champion of the Slovak Republic 2019) and Slovak amateur Pavol Mach. For professionals, they shared the cash prize for second place Štěpán Daněk and Michal Pospíšil, both from Czech Republic. The third place belongs to professionals Filip Mrúzek from (Czech Republic) and Gregg LaVoie (USA), living in Prague.
Ondřej Lieser evaluated the tournament with the words, “The best tournament in Czechoslovakia, the tournament was excellently organized, from the first to the last and again the organizers and promoters Pavol Bielik and Peter Petrovič added something more that gives this event the hallmark of the most prestigious tournament.”
